About us
Founded in 2021 by a collective of women and non-binary people of color, we’re a Washington-based organization working within the early childhood policy sector in our state. Our goal is to make the sector more just and inclusive by increasing representation and power in this space so that there are more leaders of color — particularly people from Black, Indigenous, Latinx and Pacific Islander communities — because communities that are most impacted by educational injustices must be represented in positions of power.

Our Fellowship
Pathwaves is co-creating pathways for leaders who are committed to racial justice to make impacts in the early childhood policy sector. Our Fellowship program brings together leaders of many different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and places them with partner organizations or agencies working in the early childhood policy space.
Our 2026-28 Fellowship Cohort applications will open in May.
