We are now Pathwaves WA!
We’ve been the Washington Early Childhood Policy Fellowship since our initial planning grant in 2019, but have always known that we would adopt a new organizational name, hopefully one that better captured our larger mission. We have had the pleasure of working with the amazing Stacy Nguyen to help us clarify our brand and visual identity and we are excited to announce that we are now Pathwaves Washington! Why Pathwaves? Throughout this process, constant has been the vision that our organizational goals are to open pathways for BIPOC leaders to make waves of change in early childhood policy. Our new name is meant to make you pause, be a little different, and evoke the sense that we’re something new. You can learn more and check out our new website here.
Evolution of Pathwaves WA Leadership Structure and Co-Executive Director Job Announcement
We continue to learn and evolve with intention around building shared power and decision-making, and in April 2022, the Pathwaves Washington’s (PW) Founding Board formally adopted a Co-Executive Director model of leadership to reflect our values. Nubia López has accepted the position as the organization’s anchor Co-Executive Director, focused on program and operations. PW has mapped an initial shared leadership model based on current and anticipated work. Click here to learn more about this evolution.
We are excited and proud that Pathwaves WA is releasing a new job announcement for a Co-Executive Director. The new Co-Executive Director partnership will build upon our commitment to collective leadership and the importance of nurturing and growing leaders of color in the field of early childhood policy. This role will be focused on development, communications, and outreach. To learn more about this opportunity click here.
